    YOU are 5 minutes drive from the coast where you can enjoy uncrowded, beautiful, long white sandy
    beaches.  In the evening, enjoy the delights of the local food and wine in the laid back atmosphere of
    the bars and restaurants.  Alternatively, wander around the shops and marina, where you can also
    hire bicycles and boats.

    AYAMONTE is a very traditional, picturesque Spanish town situated at the mouth of the Rio Guadiana
    where there are many shops, restaurants and squares for you to relax and enjoy.  It also has a local
    Bull fighting arena where they hold bullfights, which is still very much a part of the Andalucian culture.
    In the town there are many shops selling a variety of goods, complementing the modern
    supermarkets.  If you prefer there is a daily fresh fruit and vegetable market and a weekly market on
    Saturday.  There is also a 10 minute ferry across to Portugal.

    PUNTA Del MORAL is a small fishing village down by the marina at the eastern end of the island.  
    Here you can enjoy freshly caught fish in numerous restaurants at very affordable prices.

    HUELVA is the next closest city, there you will find a museum with many remarkable archaeological
    Roman finds; its other claim to fame is that it was the starting point of Columbus’ famous epic voyage.

    Historical SEVILLE is about 75 minutes away, full of ancient cultural heritage that dates back beyond
    recorded history.  Today, much of the Rio Guadalquivir (The Great River) riverfront is made up of an
    attractive tree-lined promenade.  There is so much to see and explore in the way of art and
    architecture but its highlights include the spectacular cathedral, Moorish and Renaissance palaces
    and fine museums, all within walking distance of each other. You will also find many shops and
    markets to visit, or just relax and enjoy the delights of the local wine and cuisine.

    CADIZ claims to be Europe’s oldest city with a vast cathedral which is one of the largest in Spain,
    there are many Baroque buildings which enhance this beautiful provincial City.
